Overview
Budapest, Vienna and Prague: three cities that complement one another with their Habsburg-era palaces, coffee houses and riverside views. On this route we fly into Budapest and home from Prague, so we never retrace our steps and the journeys between cities become part of the discovery.
The programme includes Fisherman's Bastion and the Parliament in Budapest; the Ringstrasse, Schönbrunn Palace and St Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna; and the castle, Charles Bridge and Astronomical Clock in Prague. Along the way we stroll through Bratislava on the Danube, stop for shopping at the Parndorf outlet centre and explore fairy-tale Český Krumlov on a bend of the Vltava.
City tours and intercity transport are included, and a Turkish-speaking guide accompanies you throughout. With three nights in Prague, we finish the route at an unhurried pace with free time.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Budapest
We meet our guide at Sabiha Gökçen Airport and take a morning AJet flight to Budapest. Our panoramic tour of Pest takes in Heroes' Square, UNESCO-listed Andrássy Avenue, Vajdahunyad Castle in City Park and St Stephen's Basilica. We then check in to our hotel.
Day 2 Budapest: Buda Castle and Parliament
In the Castle District on the Buda side we explore Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, then take in Danube views from Gellért Hill. Crossing to Pest, we see the Parliament building on Kossuth Square and the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial. In the evening you can join an optional Danube cruise or visit a thermal bath.
Day 3 Budapest – Bratislava – Parndorf – Vienna
We continue to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, where the old town reveals St Michael's Gate, St Martin's Cathedral, where Hungarian kings were crowned for centuries, and the castle overlooking the Danube. After crossing into Austria we stop for shopping at the Parndorf outlet centre and reach Vienna in the evening.
Day 4 Vienna
Along the Ringstrasse we see the State Opera, the Hofburg, the Parliament and City Hall. After exploring the façade and gardens of Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs' summer palace, we walk past St Stephen's Cathedral, along the Graben and down Kärntner Strasse. In the evening you can attend an optional classical music concert.
Day 5 Vienna – Český Krumlov – Prague
Heading north, we reach Český Krumlov in South Bohemia. We walk the narrow lanes of this UNESCO-listed old town set in a bend of the Vltava and look out over its red roofs from the castle courtyards. In the afternoon we continue our journey, reaching Prague in the evening.
Day 6 Prague: Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town
In the Prague Castle complex on Hradčany hill we explore St Vitus Cathedral and the courtyards. Descending through the Baroque lanes of Malá Strana, we cross the Vltava on the statue-lined Charles Bridge. On Old Town Square we see Týn Church and watch the Astronomical Clock come to life on the hour.
Day 7 Prague: Jewish Quarter and Free Time
In the morning we walk around the Old-New Synagogue and the Spanish Synagogue in Josefov, then continue to Wenceslas Square. The afternoon is free for Kampa Island, Petřín Hill or shopping. In the evening you can join an optional dinner cruise on the Vltava.
Day 8 Prague – Istanbul
After breakfast there is free time for a final coffee and some shopping. We transfer to Václav Havel Airport and fly back to Istanbul with AJet at the end of our tour.

Visa Information Visa Required
Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Czechia are Schengen countries, so Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports need a Schengen visa. As the tour never leaves the Schengen area, a single-entry visa is sufficient; the application is made to Czechia, as the country of longest stay. Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years and be valid for at least 3 months (preferably 6 months) after the return date. We recommend applying at least 6–8 weeks before departure; current requirements are confirmed before travel.
Important Information
- Three currencies are used on the route: the forint (HUF) in Hungary, the euro in Slovakia and Austria and the koruna (CZK) in Czechia; card payments are widespread.
- The Vienna – Prague day, including the visit to Český Krumlov, involves about 6 hours by coach with regular breaks.
- On the 27 December departure some museums, shops and restaurants may be closed on 1 January; the programme is adapted with the same content.
- The tour operates with a minimum of 20 participants; if this is not reached you will be informed 10 days before departure.
- The child price (ages 2–12) applies when sharing a room with two adults on an extra bed.

How long do we spend at Parndorf?
We stop for about 2 hours of shopping at the Parndorf outlet centre. Those who would rather not shop can relax in the centre's cafés.
Where do we spend New Year's Eve on the 27 December departure?
On 31 December we travel from Vienna to Prague via Český Krumlov and see in the new year in Prague. New Year's Eve is free; if you wish, our adviser can arrange a special dinner.
How much does it cost if I travel alone?
The single room supplement ranges from €240 to €300 depending on the date. Our adviser will confirm the exact amount for your chosen date.
