Overview
Barcelona is one of those rare places that shows how a single architect can shape a city's identity. Antoni Gaudí's rippling façades, mosaic-clad terraces and the Sagrada Família, begun in 1882 and still under construction, share the city with the medieval Gothic Quarter and the Mediterranean shore.
In this short but full programme, a guided Sagrada Família visit with entry ticket is included. We see Casa Batlló and Casa Milà on Passeig de Gràcia, look out over the city from Park Güell, climb to the viewpoints of Montjuïc and walk from the Gothic Quarter to La Rambla and La Boqueria market.
On the morning of the third day you can join an optional half-day trip to Montserrat and its monastery set among serrated peaks. A Turkish-speaking guide is with you throughout the programme.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Barcelona
We meet our guide at Istanbul Airport and take a morning Turkish Airlines flight to Barcelona. On arrival our panoramic tour runs from Plaça de Catalunya to Passeig de Gràcia, where we see the exteriors of Gaudí's Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera). We then check in to our hotel.
Day 2 Sagrada Família – Park Güell – Montjuïc
In the morning our guided Sagrada Família visit reveals the Nativity and Passion façades, columns that rise like tree trunks and stained glass that floods the interior with colour. We then visit Park Güell (entry ticket extra) for its mosaic-clad terrace and city views. In the afternoon we head up Montjuïc to see the site of the 1992 Olympics and views over the harbour.
Day 3 Montserrat (Optional) – Gothic Quarter – La Rambla
In the morning, those who wish can join a half-day trip to Montserrat Monastery, set among jagged mountains about an hour from the city. In the afternoon we explore Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Sant Jaume and Plaça Reial in the Gothic Quarter, then walk along La Rambla to La Boqueria market. The evening is free on the Barceloneta seafront.
Day 4 Barcelona – Istanbul
After breakfast there is free time in the boutiques of El Born or along the seafront. We transfer to Barcelona El Prat Airport and fly back to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines at the end of our tour.

Visa Information Visa Required
Spain is a Schengen country, so Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports need a Schengen visa. Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years and be valid for at least 3 months (preferably 6 months) after the return date. Appointments fill up quickly, especially around New Year and the school winter break, so we recommend applying at least 6–8 weeks before departure; current requirements are confirmed before travel.
Important Information
- The Sagrada Família visit runs to a set entry time, so on some days the order of the programme may be adjusted.
- At the Sagrada Família you may be refused entry in clothing that leaves shoulders bare or is very short; suitable clothing is recommended.
- La Boqueria market is closed on Sundays; on La Rambla and the metro at busy times, please keep an eye on your belongings.
- The tour operates with a minimum of 15 participants; if this is not reached you will be informed 10 days before departure.
- The child price (ages 2–12) applies when sharing a room with two adults on an extra bed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we go inside the Sagrada Família?
Yes. The entry ticket is included and we tour the basilica's interior with our guide. Access to the towers requires a separate ticket and is subject to availability.
What is the Montserrat excursion like?
It is an optional half-day tour. Montserrat is about an hour away by coach; we see the Benedictine monastery and mountain scenery and return in time for the afternoon Gothic Quarter walk.
Where do we spend New Year's Eve on the 29 December departure?
You are in Barcelona on the evening of 31 December, which is free. As the return flight is on 1 January, you also spend the first morning of the new year in the city.
