Overview
For first-timers and returning visitors alike, this route links Italy's most sought-after cities in a logical order. Because we fly into Rome and out of Milan, we never retrace our steps and spend our time in the cities instead.
In Rome, the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain; in Florence, Brunelleschi's dome and the Ponte Vecchio; in Pisa, the Square of Miracles; in Venice, the Grand Canal by vaporetto; in Verona, the ancient arena; and in Milan, the Duomo. City tours, intercity transport and the vaporetto in Venice are included.
A Turkish-speaking guide accompanies you throughout. The programme is balanced to leave time for optional experiences such as the Vatican Museums or a gondola ride in Venice.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Rome
We meet our guide at Istanbul Airport and take a morning Turkish Airlines flight to Rome. On arrival our panoramic tour takes in the Vittoriano monument on Piazza Venezia, the Capitoline Hill and the Circus Maximus. We then check in to our hotel.
Day 2 Rome: Colosseum, Pantheon and Trevi
In the morning, those who wish can join an optional guided visit to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica. In the afternoon our walking tour takes in the exterior of the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine, with views over the Roman Forum from Via dei Fori Imperiali. We finish the day at the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
Day 3 Rome – Florence
We set off for Florence through the hills of Umbria and Tuscany. In the afternoon our walking tour takes in Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi's dome, Giotto's bell tower and the Baptistery's Gates of Paradise. From Piazza della Signoria, overlooked by the Palazzo Vecchio, we stroll to the Ponte Vecchio on the Arno.
Day 4 Pisa – Florence
In the morning we head to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower, the cathedral and the baptistery on the Square of Miracles. Back in Florence there is free time around Santa Croce and the San Lorenzo leather market. At sunset we are at Piazzale Michelangelo, looking down over the city's terracotta roofs.
Day 5 Florence – Padua – Venice Area
Crossing the Apennines we head north and stop in the university city of Padua. After seeing the Basilica of St Anthony and Prato della Valle, one of Italy's largest squares, we continue to our hotel in the Venice area.
Day 6 Venice
By vaporetto we travel along the Grand Canal, past palazzi and bridges, to St Mark's Square. We see St Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, then walk to the Rialto Bridge. During free time you can take an optional gondola ride or lose yourself in the narrow lanes before we return to our hotel in the evening.
Day 7 Verona – Milan
In Verona we see the Arena, a 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, along with Piazza Bra, Piazza delle Erbe and the balconied courtyard of Juliet's House. In the afternoon we reach Milan and explore the white marble façade of the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, La Scala opera house and Sforza Castle.
Day 8 Milan – Istanbul
After breakfast there is free time for shopping around Via Montenapoleone or a stroll through Brera. We transfer to Malpensa Airport and fly back to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines at the end of our tour.
Accommodation
Throughout the tour you stay in comfortable 4★ hotels with easy public transport links to the centre, with breakfast. Nights in the Venice area are spent in Mestre or Padua. Hotel names are confirmed 7 days before departure.

Transport
Flights into Rome and back from Milan are scheduled Turkish Airlines services; an air-conditioned coach is used between cities and a vaporetto in Venice. Guests departing from Izmir connect in Istanbul.

Visa Information Visa Required
Italy is part of the Schengen area, so Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports need a Schengen visa. Applications are made through the authorised visa application centre, and our adviser will guide you through the document list and appointment process. Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years and be valid for at least 3 months (preferably 6 months) after the return date. As processing times vary through the year, we recommend applying at least 6–8 weeks before departure; current requirements are confirmed before travel.
Important Information
- The order of visits may be adjusted by the guide depending on museum closing days, traffic and weather; the content remains the same.
- The Vatican Museums are closed on Sundays (except the last Sunday of the month) and on religious holidays; on these dates the optional visit is moved to another suitable day.
- In Venice you stay in Mestre or Padua, with easy access to the historic centre; as there is plenty of walking in the old towns, comfortable shoes are recommended.
- The tour operates with a minimum of 20 participants; if this is not reached you will be informed 10 days before departure.
- The child price (ages 2–12) applies when sharing a room with two adults on an extra bed; guests departing from Izmir join via connecting flights in Istanbul.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Vatican Museums visit included?
No, the visit to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica is optional. As entry slots are limited, we recommend adding it when you book.
Where are we on New Year's Eve on the festive departure?
On the 26 December departure we are in the Venice area on the evening of 31 December, which is free. The programme is adapted for 1 January, when some shops and museums may be closed.
Why don't we stay in central Venice?
Historic Venice has no coach access and hotel prices are very high, so we stay in Mestre or Padua. This keeps moving with luggage easy, and the centre is readily reached by vaporetto.
