Overview
A Western Mediterranean cruise is the easiest way to unpack once and wake up in a different country each morning. We fly to Genoa and board a modern ship from the MSC Cruises fleet, sailing a route that runs from the Provence coast of France to the Catalan capital, the Balearic Islands and southern Italy.
On port days you can explore Marseille's Old Port, Gaudí's work in Barcelona, Palma's waterfront cathedral and Pompeii from Naples, and head into Rome from Civitavecchia. The day at sea is for enjoying the ship itself, with its pools, spa and shows.
All main meals on board are included, with table service in the main restaurant in the evening and buffet options during the day. Our Turkish-speaking tour leader is with you throughout, from the flight and embarkation to planning your time ashore. The route is a sample itinerary that may vary with the ship's seasonal schedule.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Genoa, Embarkation
We meet our tour leader at Istanbul Airport in the morning and fly with Turkish Airlines to Genoa. After the transfer to the port we complete check-in and settle into our cabins. In the evening, as the ship leaves Genoa, we say goodbye to the Ligurian coast from the deck.
Day 2 Marseille (France)
In the morning we are in Marseille, one of France's great Mediterranean port cities. You can visit the Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica high above the city, the Vieux-Port where fishing boats still tie up, and the narrow lanes of Le Panier. In the late afternoon we return to the ship and set sail for Spain.
Day 3 Barcelona (Spain)
We spend a full port day in Barcelona, the Catalan capital. Gaudí's Sagrada Família and Casa Batlló, the stone lanes of the Gothic Quarter and La Rambla are the main sights. You can join an optional panoramic city tour or explore independently with tips from our tour leader.
Day 4 Palma de Mallorca (Spain)
We arrive in Palma, capital of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands. Highlights include the Gothic La Seu Cathedral rising above the waterfront, the Almudaina Palace and the circular Bellver Castle. The afternoon is free for the cafés of the old town or a stroll along the seafront.
Day 5 Day at Sea
We spend the day on board as we sail towards the Tyrrhenian Sea. Relax by the pools and on the sun deck, make use of the gym and spa, and catch one of the theatre shows in the evening. We suggest bringing smart attire for the gala evening.
Day 6 Naples (Italy)
We dock in Naples, in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius. Optional excursions take you to Pompeii, buried by the eruption of AD 79, or to the colourful clifftop houses of Positano and Amalfi. If you stay in the city, we recommend a stop for authentic Neapolitan pizza in the historic centre.
Day 7 Civitavecchia (Rome)
We are in Civitavecchia, the port for Rome. A journey of about 1 hour 15 minutes takes you into Rome to see the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, or you can join an optional Vatican tour. In the evening we enjoy our last night on board.
Day 8 Genoa – Istanbul
We arrive in Genoa in the morning and disembark after breakfast. Before the flight there may be time for a short walk in Genoa's historic centre. We then transfer to the airport for our Turkish Airlines flight back to Istanbul.
Accommodation
You stay in a double interior cabin on a modern ship from the MSC Cruises fleet on a full-board basis. Upgrades to outside (window) and balcony cabins are available for a supplement; the ship varies by date and is confirmed at booking.

Transport
Flights between Istanbul and Genoa are with Turkish Airlines, and travel between ports is aboard the MSC ship. Transfers between the airport and the port are included in the package.

Visa Information Visa Required
As the route includes ports in Italy, France and Spain, Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports need a valid Schengen visa. Since embarkation and disembarkation take place in Italy, the application is usually made to Italy; a multiple-entry visa is recommended because of the port calls. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date and have at least 2 blank pages. As visa procedures can change, current requirements are confirmed before departure.

- This is a sample itinerary; the order of ports, arrival and departure times and the ship may vary with MSC Cruises' seasonal schedule and weather conditions.
- The ship service charge is set by MSC and added nightly to your on-board account; the current amount is confirmed at booking.
- Shore excursions are optional; the ship will not wait for passengers who miss the all-aboard time.
- Depending on the date, flights may operate via Milan, in which case a coach transfer of about 2 hours to the port is provided.
- The child price (ages 2–11) applies when sharing a cabin with two adults; cabin capacity is limited.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are meals and drinks included on board?
All meals in the main restaurant and the buffet are included, and water, tea and filter coffee are usually free at the buffet. Other drinks with meals and alcoholic drinks are charged, and you can add a drinks package when booking.
Are shore excursions included?
No, shore excursions are optional. Our tour leader briefs you before each port; you can join organised excursions or make your own way from the port into town.
Can I upgrade my cabin?
Yes. The price is for a double interior cabin; the supplement for an outside or balcony cabin depends on the date and availability. Balcony cabins sell out early, so we recommend booking ahead.
