Overview
This route lets you experience two completely different sides of Asia back to back. In Hong Kong we look down over the harbour, cross between its shores on the Star Ferry and mingle with the crowds at the night markets.
Then we fly to Japan: Osaka's street food, Kyoto's temples and Nara's historic park make up the calmer, deeper part of the journey. We ride the Shinkansen to Tokyo and explore the city's traditional and modern faces, from Asakusa to Shibuya.
The final stop is Hakone, with a boat trip on Lake Ashi and, weather permitting, views of Mount Fuji. City tours and entrance fees in the programme are included, and our Turkish-speaking guide is with you every step of the way.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Hong Kong
In the evening we meet our guide at Istanbul Airport. After check-in and passport control we depart for Hong Kong on a Turkish Airlines overnight flight. Night on board.
Day 2 Arrival in Hong Kong – Symphony of Lights
We land in Hong Kong in the afternoon and transfer to our hotel. After a short rest we stroll along the Avenue of Stars on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and, in the evening, watch the Symphony of Lights show across the skyline.
Day 3 Victoria Peak – Star Ferry – Temple Street
After breakfast we ride the historic Peak Tram up to Victoria Peak for panoramic harbour views. After visiting Man Mo Temple and the antique shops of Hollywood Road, we cross to Kowloon on the Star Ferry. In the evening there is free time for the Temple Street night market.
Day 4 Hong Kong – Osaka
After breakfast we transfer to the airport and fly to Osaka. From Kansai Airport we head into the city and check in. In the evening there is free time in Dotonbori, famous for its neon signs and street food, to try takoyaki and okonomiyaki.
Day 5 Kyoto: Fushimi Inari – Kiyomizu-dera – Gion
We dedicate the day to Kyoto. We walk beneath the thousands of red torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine and visit Kiyomizu-dera with its famous wooden terrace. We pass through the stone-paved lanes of Sannenzaka, finish in the traditional wooden townhouses of Gion and return to Osaka in the evening.
Day 6 Nara – Shinkansen to Tokyo
In the morning we go to Nara to explore Nara Park, where deer roam freely, and Todai-ji Temple with its giant bronze Buddha. In the afternoon the Shinkansen bullet train takes us to Tokyo in about 2.5 hours. Luggage is forwarded separately to the hotel.
Day 7 Tokyo: Asakusa – Meiji Shrine – Shibuya
Our Tokyo tour starts in Asakusa at Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and the Nakamise shopping street. We visit Meiji Shrine in its wooded park, then continue from Harajuku to Shibuya. Free time in the evening at Shibuya Crossing, one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world.
Day 8 Hakone – Lake Ashi – Mount Fuji
A full-day excursion to Hakone. We take a boat trip on Lake Ashi and ride the ropeway up to the volcanic valley of Owakudani. Weather permitting, we continue to Mount Fuji's 5th Station before returning to our hotel in Tokyo in the evening.
Day 9 Tokyo – Istanbul
After breakfast we transfer to Narita Airport and fly to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines, arriving the same evening. End of the tour.
Accommodation
You stay in centrally located 4★ hotels with good transport links in Hong Kong, Osaka and Tokyo on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Hotel rooms in Japan are usually compact.

Transport
International flights are with Turkish Airlines, and Hong Kong – Osaka is a regional flight. Osaka to Tokyo is by Shinkansen; a private coach is used on city tours.

Visa Information Visa-free
Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports can enter Japan visa-free for short tourist visits, and Hong Kong does not require a visa for short tourist stays either. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date. Our adviser confirms current entry requirements before departure.
Important Information
- The Mount Fuji 5th Station visit depends on weather and road conditions; if it isn't possible, the day continues with alternative stops around Hakone.
- Large suitcases are forwarded separately to the hotel on the Shinkansen day; we recommend packing a small overnight bag.
- Clothing covering shoulders and knees is recommended for temple visits in Japan.
- The tour operates with a minimum of 15 participants; if this is not reached you will be informed 21 days before departure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a visa for Hong Kong and Japan?
Turkish citizens with ordinary passports can visit both destinations visa-free for short tourist stays. Current requirements are confirmed before departure.
How will my luggage travel on the Shinkansen?
Large suitcases are forwarded to the Tokyo hotel a day in advance, so you only need a small bag on the train. Luggage forwarding is included.
Are we guaranteed to see Mount Fuji?
Fuji's visibility depends entirely on the weather; chances are higher on winter mornings. Even without a clear view, the day in Hakone remains full.
