Overview
Vietnam and Cambodia complement each other beautifully for exploring the changing landscapes and layered history of the Indochinese peninsula in one journey. The route opens in Hanoi's bustling streets, continues with a night aboard among the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay, then moves on to Hoi An's preserved historic town, the energy of Ho Chi Minh City and the waterways of the Mekong Delta.
The finale is in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where a full guided day takes in Angkor Wat, the stone faces of the Bayon and Ta Prohm, wrapped in giant tree roots, all legacies of the Khmer Empire. Meals on the Ha Long cruise, regional flights and the entry fees in the programme are included.
We fly with Emirates via Dubai and use regional flights within and between the two countries. A Turkish-speaking tour leader travels with you from Istanbul, joined by local guides at every stop.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Dubai – Hanoi
We meet our tour leader at Istanbul Airport and fly with Emirates to Hanoi via Dubai. Including the connection, the journey takes around 14 hours and we spend the night on board.
Day 2 Arrival in Hanoi – Hoan Kiem Lake – Old Quarter
Our local guide meets us at Noi Bai Airport and we head into the city. In the afternoon we walk along Hoan Kiem Lake and cross the red wooden The Huc Bridge to Ngoc Son Temple. We then wander the Old Quarter, whose streets still carry the names of old craft guilds, and in the evening you can catch an optional traditional water puppet show.
Day 3 Hanoi – Ha Long Bay
After breakfast a drive of about 2.5–3 hours brings us to Ha Long Bay, where we board our boat. After lunch we cruise among hundreds of limestone islets, visit a cave and, weather permitting, go kayaking. We watch the sunset from the deck and have dinner on board.
Day 4 Ha Long – Hanoi – Da Nang – Hoi An
After breakfast on deck we enjoy a final cruise around the bay and an early lunch before returning to port. A flight of about 1 hour 15 minutes from Hanoi takes us to Da Nang, and a short drive brings us to Hoi An. The evening is free in the lantern-lit old town on the Thu Bon River.
Day 5 Hoi An Old Town Tour
After breakfast we explore the historic centre of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on foot: the Japanese Covered Bridge, traditionally attributed to Japanese merchants of the late 16th century, the historic Tan Ky House and the Fujian Assembly Hall. The afternoon is free to have clothes tailor-made or relax on a nearby beach. In the evening you can float a wishing lantern on the river from a sampan boat.
Day 6 Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast we transfer to Da Nang Airport for a flight of about 1.5 hours to Ho Chi Minh City. On our afternoon city tour we see the French-era Central Post Office and Notre-Dame Cathedral from outside and visit the Independence Palace. The tour ends with free time at Ben Thanh Market.
Day 7 Mekong Delta
After breakfast a drive of about 2 hours takes us to the Mekong Delta. By boat we travel along broad river channels and narrow palm-fringed canals, watch coconut candy being made in a local workshop and taste tropical fruit. After lunch we return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.
Day 8 Cu Chi Tunnels (optional) – Siem Reap
In the morning, guests who wish can join an optional excursion to the Cu Chi tunnels, the underground network used during the Vietnam War. In the afternoon we transfer to the airport for a flight of about an hour to Siem Reap, Cambodia. In the evening you can spend free time around Pub Street and the night market.
Day 9 Angkor Wat – Bayon – Ta Prohm
After breakfast we explore Angkor Wat, built in the 12th century and considered one of the largest religious monuments in the world. At the Bayon, in the heart of Angkor Thom, we see the giant faces gazing from its stone towers, and after lunch we end the tour at Ta Prohm, where huge tree roots grip the walls. In the evening you can watch an optional traditional Apsara dance performance.
Day 10 Siem Reap – Dubai – Istanbul
After breakfast we transfer to the airport. A regional connecting flight and Emirates' service via Dubai bring us back to Istanbul, where our tour comes to an end.

In the cities you stay in centrally located 4★ hotels with breakfast, and in Ha Long Bay on a boat with sea-view cabins on a full-board basis. Hotel and boat names are confirmed 7 days before departure.

International flights are with Emirates via Dubai. Regional flights link Hanoi – Da Nang, Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap; an air-conditioned private vehicle is used on the road, with boats in Ha Long Bay and the Mekong Delta.

Visa Information e-Visa
Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports need an e-visa to enter Vietnam; applications are made online through Vietnam's official e-visa portal and can take several working days. For Cambodia you can obtain an e-visa online or a visa on arrival in Siem Reap. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date and have at least 2 blank pages. As requirements and fees can change, current conditions are confirmed before departure.
Important Information
- As the return connection may be routed via Vietnam, we recommend applying for a multiple-entry Vietnam e-visa.
- The Ha Long cruise programme and the cave visited may change depending on weather and port authority decisions.
- Shoulders and knees must be covered at the Angkor temples, and some areas involve steep stone steps.
- With its many flights and plenty of walking, the tour is not recommended for children under 12; no child discount applies.
- The tour operates with a minimum of 12 participants; if this is not reached you will be informed 21 days before departure.

When should I apply for the Vietnam e-visa?
We recommend applying at least 3 weeks before departure. The e-visa is issued online through Vietnam's official portal, and it is important to select the correct entry date and Hanoi Noi Bai Airport as your port of entry. Our adviser will guide you through the steps.
What is the night aboard in Ha Long Bay like?
You stay in double sea-view cabins with private bathrooms. Lunch, dinner and the following breakfast are included, while drinks are extra. Guests paying the single supplement have a cabin to themselves.
Can I see Angkor Wat at sunrise?
In the programme the Angkor temples are visited during the day. For guests who would like to see the sunrise, our tour leader can arrange an optional early-morning transfer that same day; no separate pass is needed for the sunrise visit.
