Overview
Thailand is one of those countries that pairs big-city energy and gilded temples with the easy pleasures of turquoise bays in a single trip. This route begins with Bangkok's cultural heritage, continues to Pattaya on the Gulf of Thailand and ends with three nights in Phuket on the Andaman Sea.
A Bangkok temples tour covering the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun, plus a Phuket tour of the Big Buddha and Old Phuket Town, are included. A floating market, Coral Island and a Phi Phi islands boat trip are optional extras you can add as you wish, and the free time in the programme leaves room for the beach.
International flights are with Saudia via Riyadh or Jeddah, with a domestic flight between Bangkok and Phuket. A Turkish-speaking tour leader accompanies you from Istanbul.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Riyadh / Jeddah – Bangkok
We meet our tour leader at Istanbul Airport and fly with Saudia to Bangkok via Riyadh or Jeddah. Including the connection, the journey takes around 14–16 hours and we spend the night on board.
Day 2 Arrival in Bangkok
Our local guide meets us at Suvarnabhumi Airport and we transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest after the long journey. In the evening you may like to stroll around Asiatique, the open-air market on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
Day 3 Bangkok: Grand Palace – Wat Pho – Wat Arun
After breakfast we visit the Grand Palace, begun in 1782, and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the country's most revered Buddha image. At nearby Wat Pho we see the gold-covered Reclining Buddha, about 46 metres long, then cross the river by boat to Wat Arun and its tower decorated with fragments of porcelain. Free afternoon.
Day 4 Floating Market (optional) – Pattaya
In the morning, guests who wish can join an optional excursion to Damnoen Saduak floating market, where fruit and local food are sold from boats. In the afternoon the whole group sets off for Pattaya on the Gulf of Thailand (about 2.5 hours). After checking in, the evening is free along the beachfront.
Day 5 Pattaya – Coral Island (optional)
A free day. Those who wish can join an optional trip to Koh Larn (Coral Island), a short boat ride away, to swim in its white-sand coves. In the evening, free time on lively Walking Street or at the beachfront cafés.
Day 6 Pattaya – Bangkok – Phuket
After breakfast we transfer to the airport in Bangkok (about 2 hours). A domestic flight of around 1.5 hours takes us to Phuket, where we check in to our hotel. Free evening to watch the sunset on the beach.
Day 7 Phuket: Big Buddha – Wat Chalong – Old Town
In the morning we visit the white marble Big Buddha on Nakkerd Hill, looking out over the south of the island and the Andaman Sea. We then see Wat Chalong, the island's best-known Buddhist temple, and walk among the pastel Sino-Portuguese shophouses around Thalang Road in Old Phuket Town. Free afternoon on the beach.
Day 8 Phuket – Phi Phi Islands (optional)
A free day. Those who wish can join an optional speedboat trip to the Phi Phi islands to see Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon, framed by limestone cliffs, and snorkel in the clear water. Other guests can relax on the hotel beach or by the pool.
Day 9 Phuket – Bangkok – Istanbul
After breakfast we transfer to Phuket Airport. We fly back to Istanbul via Bangkok on Saudia's connecting service through Riyadh or Jeddah, where our tour comes to an end.

Transport

Visa Information Visa-free
Thailand does not require a visa from Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports for short tourist visits. The online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) must be completed in the days before arrival, and our adviser will guide you through it. No Saudi visa is needed for the connection in Riyadh or Jeddah as long as you do not leave the airport. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date; as requirements can change, current conditions are confirmed before departure.
Important Information
- Shoulders and knees must be covered when visiting the Grand Palace and temples; shorts, strappy tops and tight leggings are not permitted.
- Optional excursions can be booked locally through our tour leader; boat trips may be postponed or cancelled depending on weather and sea conditions.
- Thailand is hot and humid, so bring sunscreen and a hat and keep plenty of water with you.
- The tour operates with a minimum of 15 participants; if this is not reached you will be informed 15 days before departure.
- The child price (ages 2–12) applies when sharing a room with two adults on an extra bed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to join the optional excursions?
No, none of the optional excursions are compulsory. The floating market, Coral Island and Phi Phi islands trips can be booked locally through our tour leader; current prices are listed in the information pack sent before departure.
Can I swim at Maya Bay?
Swimming at Maya Bay is not permitted in order to protect its ecosystem; visitors can walk and take photos in designated areas. As the bay may occasionally close to visitors, the excursion may be adjusted in line with local regulations.
Which departure has the best weather?
November to March is drier in Bangkok and Phuket and good for the beach. Rain is a little more likely on the late-October departure, although showers are usually short.
