Overview
This tour pairs Cairo's thousands of years of heritage with the coral reefs of the Red Sea in a single trip. For the first two days you stand before the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and Saladin Citadel; then you enjoy the sea from an all-inclusive hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula.
Rather than a long road journey between Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh, we chose a domestic flight of about an hour, so you don't lose a day of your holiday on the road. AJet daytime flights from Istanbul and Ankara, plus entry to the pyramids and the citadel, are included.
In Sharm El Sheikh the days follow your own rhythm: the beach and pool, an optional boat trip to Ras Mohammed, and lively evenings in Naama Bay and the Old Market.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul / Ankara – Cairo – Khan el-Khalili
We meet at the airport and take AJet's morning flight to Cairo. After visa and passport formalities we head to Islamic Cairo and wander the narrow lanes of Khan el-Khalili, a bazaar founded in the late 14th century. A short walk along Al-Muizz Street, lined with Fatimid gates and Mamluk buildings, precedes check-in at our hotel.
Day 2 Pyramids of Giza – Sphinx – Saladin Citadel
After breakfast we see the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure on the Giza Plateau and photograph all three together from the panoramic viewpoint. After the Sphinx we return to the city to visit Saladin Citadel, high above Cairo, and its Mosque of Muhammad Ali, inspired by Ottoman mosques. From the citadel terrace we look down on the Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifa'i mosques. In the evening, those who wish can join a Nile dinner cruise.
Day 3 Cairo – Sharm El Sheikh
After breakfast we transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Sharm El Sheikh, at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. Once we've checked in to our all-inclusive hotel, the rest of the day is for the beach and pool.
Day 4 Sharm El Sheikh – Optional Ras Mohammed Trip
A free day. Those who wish can join a full-day boat trip to Ras Mohammed National Park at Sinai's southern headland, with snorkelling stops over the coral reefs and lunch served on board. If you prefer to stay at the hotel, the beach and pool await.
Day 5 Sharm El Sheikh – Old Market – Naama Bay
Free time at the hotel during the day. In the late afternoon we head with our guide to the Old Market in Old Sharm, see the exterior of the Ottoman-inspired Al Sahaba Mosque and browse the spice and souvenir shops. After free time on the lively Naama Bay promenade, with its cafés and restaurants, we return to our hotel.
Day 6 Sharm El Sheikh – Istanbul / Ankara
After breakfast we check out and transfer to the airport. We fly back to Istanbul or Ankara on AJet's daytime flight, where our tour ends.

Visa Information Visa on Arrival
Egypt issues visas on arrival to Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports for tourist travel; on arrival at Cairo Airport the visa is obtained for USD 25, paid in cash. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have at least 2 blank pages. As the scope and fee of the visa-on-arrival scheme can change, current requirements are confirmed before departure; if needed, we arrange the visa for you in advance.
Important Information
- The time of the Cairo – Sharm El Sheikh domestic flight may change according to airline schedules; if so, the guide will adjust the programme while keeping the content the same.
- Flight times for guests departing from Ankara may vary by date; the group meets in Cairo.
- The Ras Mohammed boat trip depends on sea and weather conditions and may be cancelled or rerouted if conditions are poor.
- The Red Sea's coral reefs are protected; we recommend reef shoes so you don't stand on or touch the coral.
- The child price (ages 2–12) applies when sharing a room with two adults on an extra bed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do we fly from Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh?
By road, the journey via Suez takes 6–7 hours. The domestic flight takes about an hour, so you can spend that time by the sea in Sharm El Sheikh instead; the ticket is included in the price.
Can non-swimmers join the Ras Mohammed trip?
Yes. Life jackets, masks and snorkels are provided on board, and you can simply enjoy the views from the deck without going in the water. The trip costs €50 per person and includes lunch.
When is the sea warm in Sharm El Sheikh?
In October and November the water is usually around 25 °C and very pleasant for swimming. In March the sea is a little cooler, but days are sunny and mild; we suggest a light layer for the evenings.
