Overview
The Balkans are one of those rare regions where you can travel through several centuries in a single week. This route brings together Ottoman bazaars, the elegant boulevards of the Austro-Hungarian era and the turquoise coves of the Adriatic.
We designed the programme so that you won't need to pay for extras along the way: excursions to Pristina, Prizren, Mostar, Blagaj, Počitelj, Kotor, Budva, Tirana, Resen and Bitola, as well as every dinner, are included. On the second night we celebrate with a Balkan evening of live music and folk dance.
A Turkish-speaking guide accompanies you throughout; transfers between cities are by comfortable coach, with breaks at the most scenic stops.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Skopje
We meet our guide at the airport and fly with AJet to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. On arrival our city tour begins: the 15th-century Stone Bridge spanning the Vardar River, Macedonia Square, Mustafa Pasha Mosque and Kapan Han. After free time in the Old Bazaar we check in to our hotel.
Day 2 Matka Canyon – Pristina – Prizren
After breakfast we take a short nature break at Matka Canyon, framed by green slopes. Crossing into Kosovo, we visit the Fatih Mosque and the Tomb of Sultan Murad in Pristina. The day ends in Prizren, whose Turkish shop signs and stone bridge recall an Anatolian town. In the evening we return to Skopje for a Balkan night with live music and folk dance.
Day 3 Skopje – Belgrade
We set off for Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. At Kalemegdan Fortress, overlooking the confluence of the Sava and the Danube, we hear the city's layered history and visit the Tomb of Damat Ali Pasha. Free time follows on pedestrianised Knez Mihailova Street.
Day 4 Belgrade – Sarajevo
Following the Drina valley, we reach Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia & Herzegovina. We explore Baščaršija, the Sebilj fountain, Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and Morića Han, then pause at the Latin Bridge, site of the 1914 assassination. In the late afternoon, perhaps a Bosnian coffee in a historic café.
Day 5 Mostar – Blagaj – Počitelj
We descend the Neretva valley to Mostar. At the Old Bridge, completed by architect Mimar Hayruddin in 1566 and faithfully rebuilt in 2004, there's plenty of time for photos. After the Blagaj Tekke at the source of the Buna River and the stone village of Počitelj, we continue to our hotel in Međugorje.
Day 6 Kotor – Budva – Sveti Stefan – Shkodër
A scenic road along the Montenegrin coast brings us to Kotor and its fjord-like bay. After a guided walk through the walled old town, we see Budva's marina and admire the islet of Sveti Stefan from a viewing terrace. By evening we are in Shkodër, Albania.
Day 7 Shkodër – Tirana – Ohrid
In Tirana we see Skanderbeg Square, the Et'hem Bey Mosque and the Clock Tower. In the afternoon a mountain road leads to Ohrid, where we wander past the monuments of St Clement and St Naum, Plane Tree Square and the old bazaar. Free time for a lakeside stroll at sunset.
Day 8 Resen – Bitola – Skopje – Istanbul
In Resen we see the exterior of Niyazi Bey's mansion, then continue to Bitola. We visit the former military academy attended by Atatürk, stroll Širok Sokak and the old bazaar, then transfer to Skopje Airport for our evening flight back to Istanbul.

Transport
Outbound and return flights are scheduled AJet services; an air-conditioned coach is used throughout the tour. Flight times differ for departures from Izmir and Ankara.

Visa Information Visa-free
North Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania do not require a visa from Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports for short tourist visits. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date and have at least 2 blank pages. Guests of other nationalities should inform our advisers before booking.
Important Information
- The order of visits may be adjusted by the guide depending on border crossings, weather and road conditions; the content remains the same.
- Due to intercity distances, some days include coach journeys of up to 4–5 hours with regular breaks.
- Hotel check-in is usually from 14:00 and check-out by 12:00.
- The tour operates with a minimum of 20 participants; if this is not reached you will be informed 10 days before departure.
- The child price (ages 2–12) applies when sharing a room with two adults on an extra bed.

Bookings are confirmed with a written package tour contract finalised with our adviser. Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need to pay for extra excursions?
All excursions in the programme and all dinners are included. You only pay for lunches, drinks, the €20 local service fee and personal expenses.
Can I join with just my ID card?
As the tour crosses several borders, a valid passport is required. It must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date.
How much does it cost if I travel alone?
The single room supplement ranges from €220 to €260 depending on the date. Our adviser will confirm the exact amount for your chosen date.
