Overview
Northern Morocco, stretching from the coast where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic to the slopes of the Rif Mountains, shows a very different face from the desert routes of the south. We land in Tangier and look out from Cape Spartel to the horizon where the two seas meet, then continue the next day to the blue-washed lanes of Chefchaouen.
The second half of the route is devoted to Morocco's royal cities. We spend two nights in Fes, exploring the medina's craft quarters with a local guide, then see the monumental gates of Meknes, the Roman city of Volubilis and the capital Rabat on our way to Casablanca.
We have kept driving distances balanced, so each day brings somewhere new while leaving time to unwind in the evening. Breakfasts and most dinners are included in the price.

Itinerary
Day 1 Istanbul – Tangier
We take a morning Air Arabia flight to Tangier. On arrival our guide takes us to Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean, and to the legendary Caves of Hercules. At the end of the day we look out over the Strait of Gibraltar from the Kasbah, stroll through the old medina and check in to our hotel.
Day 2 Tangier – Chefchaouen
After breakfast we head towards the Rif Mountains, reaching Chefchaouen in about 3 hours. In the blue-washed medina we visit Outa el Hammam Square, the red-walled Kasbah and the Ras el Maa spring. In the late afternoon those who wish can walk up to the Spanish Mosque above the town to watch the sunset.
Day 3 Chefchaouen – Fes
After some free time in the morning, a drive of about 4 hours through olive groves brings us to Fes. In the afternoon we see the golden gates of the Royal Palace and the historic Jewish quarter, the Mellah. We end the day looking over the medina from the Borj Sud hill, which commands views across the whole city.
Day 4 The Fes el-Bali Medina
We spend the whole day in Fes el-Bali with a licensed local guide. Entering through Bab Bou Jeloud, we explore the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain and the surroundings of the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, founded in the 9th century. Passing the coppersmiths' and weavers' quarters, we watch the colourful dye pits of the Chouara tannery from a terrace.
Day 5 Meknes – Volubilis – Rabat – Casablanca
In Meknes, capital of Sultan Moulay Ismail, we stop at the grand Bab Mansour gate and El Hedim Square. At nearby Volubilis we take a guided walk among the triumphal arch, the basilica and the mosaics still in place in its houses. In Rabat we see the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah of the Udayas, reaching Casablanca in the evening.
Day 6 Casablanca – Istanbul
In the morning we visit the Hassan II Mosque, built out over the ocean, followed by a short panoramic drive along the Ain Diab corniche. Around midday we transfer to the airport for our Air Arabia flight back to Istanbul.

You stay in 4★ hotels close to the city centres and medinas, on a half-board basis in Tangier, Chefchaouen and Fes and with breakfast in Casablanca. Hotel names are confirmed 7 days before departure.

Transport
You fly into Tangier and home from Casablanca with Air Arabia, so we travel from north to south without retracing our steps. An air-conditioned tour vehicle is used throughout.

Visa Information Visa-free
Morocco does not require a visa from Turkish citizens holding ordinary passports for tourist visits of up to 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date and have at least 2 blank pages. As entry rules can change, current requirements are confirmed before departure; guests of other nationalities should inform our advisers before booking.
Important Information
- Day 5 involves 5–6 hours of driving in total because of the Meknes, Volubilis and Rabat visits; regular breaks are included.
- The lanes of the Chefchaouen and Fes medinas are narrow, stepped and slippery in places; comfortable closed shoes are recommended.
- The February 2027 departure falls during Ramadan; some restaurants and shops may be closed during the day, but the programme is not affected.
- Apart from the Hassan II Mosque, mosque interiors in Morocco are generally closed to non-Muslim visitors; the guide may adjust the order of visits.
- The child price (ages 2–12) applies when sharing a room with two adults on an extra bed.

How does this differ from the Sahara tour?
This route focuses on northern Morocco and the royal cities, with no desert camp or long southern drives. It includes stops such as Chefchaouen, Tangier and Volubilis that are not on the Sahara tour, and it is shorter.
How much time will we have in Chefchaouen?
We arrive in Chefchaouen around midday on day 2 and stay the night. After the guided walk you have free time for photos and shopping in the late afternoon and on the morning of day 3.
Which dates have the discounted price?
The 11 October and 8 November 2026 departures are priced at €749 instead of €849. The deal applies to limited places; once they are filled, our adviser will confirm the current price.
